About Natural Travertine Each shade is cut from a unique block of natural yellow travertine. Vein patterns, color tone, and surface pits vary piece to piece — these are characteristics of the stone, not defects. The pits and pores are part of how travertine forms and are sealed but left visible. Soft Pore Glow When the light is on, you may see warm light glowing through some of the deeper pits in the stone. This is a natural property of travertine, not a crack or seam.
