No hardwiring or electrician needed. Just hang the fixture and plug in the cord.What does the washi paper feel like, and will it yellow over time?The paper has a textured, ribbed surface. It's durable material designed for pendant fixtures. Avoid touching the inside of the shade to keep it clean.Can I adjust how low it hangs?Yes. The maximum drop is 62.2 inches from the ceiling hook. You can shorten the cord or adjust the swag to fit your room's ceiling height and the height of your table or island. What is the shade made from?+The shade is handcrafted washi paper, a natural material from traditional Japanese papermaking. It diffuses light gently for soft, ambient glow. Metal frame. Pairs with E26 or E27 LED or Edison bulbs. How long is the cord, and can I adjust the hanging height?+The cord is 180″ long, allowing flexible hanging heights for different ceiling clearances. Connect using the plug switch; custom cord lengths are available through our atelier on request.
