About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish The frame of this ceiling lamp is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The entire stone presents a consistent matte black — this is exactly as it was designed to be. No — travertine is naturally off-white. The matte black finish is a surface coating applied to the genuine stone. The natural pore structure, weight, and density are fully preserved beneath. Which configuration should I choose? The 1-light (3.9″×3.9″) works as a compact accent. The 2-light (7.9″×3.9″) and 3-light (11.8″×3.9″) suit linear runs above counters or in hallways. The 4-light (7.9″×7.9″) provides the most coverage in a square format. All share the same H3.1″ profile. Can this be installed on the wall as well as the ceiling?
