Event Horizon Sconce

A closer fit for your
everyday comfort.

Black travertine and walnut — direct glow, cosmic drama. Drawing inspiration from the enigmatic allure of cosmic phenomena, the Event Horizon Pendant Sconce offers both direct and ambient light. A suspended cylindrical shade features a central band of rich walnut wood elegantly contrasting with the textured black travertine elements above and below. Mounted on a matching walnut base with a sleek black arm, it casts a focused, warm glow downward while softly illuminating its surroundings — ideal for hallways, bedside tables, or reading nooks. About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish The shade of this sconce is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The entire stone presents a consistent matte black — this is exactly as it was designed to be. Natural travertine — formed by geological processes Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique. 🔍 These are all natural phenomenon · click to enlarge Bulb & Light Source GX53 base Compatible with LED or Edison-style GX53 bulbs.
