Gravitas Lumina Pendant Lamp

A closer fit for your
everyday comfort.

Black travertine and walnut — cosmic weight, earthy warmth. The Gravitas Lumina Pendant combines two materials that speak different languages. The cylindrical body is genuine travertine stone, surface-finished in matte black to achieve a deep, uniform dark aesthetic — its natural pore structure and weight still present beneath the finish. A disc of dark walnut wood encircles the upper portion, providing a warm organic contrast. Together they cast a focused downward glow over dining tables, kitchen islands, or wherever raw material and precision meet. About the black travertine — genuine natural stone with a matte black surface finish The body of this pendant is made from genuine travertine stone. To create a deep, even black aesthetic, the stone surface is finished with a matte black coating — rather than left in its natural off-white state. This is an intentional design choice: the weight, density, and natural pore structure of genuine travertine are preserved, while the surface colour is controlled. The entire stone presents a consistent matte black — this is exactly as it was designed to be. Natural travertine — formed by geological processes Travertine is formed in the natural environment through thousands of years of complex physical and chemical processes. Even beneath the black surface, the pore distribution and stone characteristics of each piece remain entirely unique. 🔍 These are all natural phenomenon · click to enlarge Features Genuine Travertine Real stone body — the weight and density of natural travertine, finished in matte black. Dark Walnut Disc A warm wood ring contrasts the black stone — organic and grounded in the same piece. Focused Downward Glow The cylindrical form directs light downward — precise and intimate in effect. No — and this is intentional. The body is genuine travertine stone, but its surface is finished with a matte black coating to achieve the dark, uniform aesthetic of the design. Natural travertine is typically off-white or amber in colour. The black finish is applied to the real stone to create the striking contrast with the walnut disc. The weight, density, and pore structure of the travertine remain authentic beneath the finish. Why does this look different from natural stone? The matte black surface coating covers the stone's natural veining and colour variation, resulting in a consistent deep black appearance. This is the designed look — raw material with a controlled surface. If you are looking for visible natural stone veining, this product is not the right fit. If you are drawn to the weight and grounded quality of real stone in a dark, minimal form, this is precisely what it delivers. Can the cable length be extended? Yes.
