That's about 5 feet. You can shorten the cord during installation if your ceiling is lower than standard 8 feet.What's the difference between wood color and walnut?Wood color is a lighter natural finish. Walnut is darker brown. Both have the same brass interior and hardware. Price is the same within each variant.Do I need an electrician to install this?Installation depends on your existing wiring and comfort level. The fixture comes with a canopy that mounts to a standard ceiling box.
