No — plug-in wall lamp with a 59.1" cord and inline on/off switch. Mount the bracket, plug in, done. No electrician required. What is the difference between Model A and Model B? Model A is larger (L16.5"×H15.7") with a traditional swing-arm shade and extends to 27.6". Model B is more compact (L14.6"×H5.9") with a sleeker profile and extends to 23.6". How far can the arm extend? Model A: 27.6" (70 cm) when fully extended.
