The Shiro Noda stands 175 cm (68.9″) tall. We recommend rooms with ceilings of at least 240 cm (8 ft) so the branching canopy has space to spread without crowding. In rooms with lower ceilings it will still function but the visual impact is significantly reduced. The lamp is designed to be a statement in a generous space. Does this lamp need to be hardwired? No. The Shiro Noda is plug-in — it comes with a 59.1″ (150 cm) cable with an inline on/off switch that plugs into any standard wall outlet. No hardwiring or electrician is required. How do the glass coin discs catch the light? The frosted glass discs are semi-translucent — each one diffuses the G9 light while also reflecting it from its surface. As the discs overlap and hang at different angles from the brass branches, the light is scattered in multiple directions simultaneously, creating a warm, glittering effect reminiscent of light through leaves.
