The 5-head (V2) gives you one extra light in the middle, so more brightness and wider light spread. Both mount the same way.Can I shorten how far down this hangs?Yes. The 47.2-inch drop is the maximum. At install, you can cut the cables and re-crimp or re-tie them shorter if you want the fixture closer to your table or counter.Is this fixture dimmable?That depends on the bulbs and dimmer switch you use. The fixture itself has standard sockets. Check your bulb packaging and dimmer compatibility.How many bulbs does it need?V1 needs 4 bulbs, V2 needs 5 bulbs. Both use standard E26 sockets.
