V1 and V2 drop 47.2 inches from ceiling, which gives 10 to 11 inches of clearance above a standard dining table. V3, V4, V5, and V6 drop further and may feel too low for a 36-inch table depending on your ceiling height.Can I use this over a kitchen island that's 42 inches high?It depends on your ceiling height. If your ceiling is 9 feet, V1 or V2 works well. If your ceiling is higher than 9.5 feet, try V3 or V4. The longest drops (V5 and V6) suit 10-foot ceilings and higher.What's the difference between the gold and black versions?Only the metal frame color changes. All three shades are the same linen cylinder color in both finishes. Gold is warmer and works with brass or warm wood.
